Enter a keyword and your market size to estimate monthly local searches, likely map pack clicks and the related searches you should target on the same page.
The model starts with the population of your market, applies typical demand for your category (people search for pizza far more than for structural engineers), and then adjusts for the intent of the words you used. "Near me" is common. "Emergency" is rarer but converts. Questions are rare and informational.
Google does not publish city-level volumes for most keywords, and the numbers it does publish are rounded and blended. Anyone quoting an exact local number is guessing with more confidence. This tool gives you a range and a confidence level, which is honest and still useful for comparing keywords.
The point of local SEO is calls and booked jobs. A keyword with 40 emergency searches a month can be worth more than one with 900 research searches. Use the intent column, not just the volume.
