How the AI Visibility Checker works

Every AI answers live

ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude each answer every question at the moment you run the check, with web search on. Nothing is pre-written or estimated.

3STEP 3

We score the answers

Each answer is checked for your name, your position in the list, the competitors it names and the websites it cites. That becomes your score and your report.

A visibility score of 75+ means the AIs already treat you as a default answer in your market. 25 to 75 means you show up sometimes, usually behind 1 or 2 competitors who have stronger reviews, clearer service pages or better directory presence. Under 25 means the AIs do not know you exist for these questions yet, and every AI-driven customer in your area is going to someone else. The good news is that this is fixable, and faster than traditional SEO, because the AIs re-read the web constantly.

Why does AI visibility matter?

More and more people ask an AI instead of searching Google: "who should I call for a leaking water heater in Bolingbrook?" If the AI names 3 competitors and not you, that call is gone before your website ever loads. AI visibility (GEO and AEO) is the work of getting your business into those answers.

How accurate is it?

Each check runs 8 live prompts against every configured engine, up to 32 real answers, at the moment you run it. AI answers vary from run to run and by location, so treat the score as a snapshot. Results for the same business are cached for 24 hours.

What do I do if my score is low?

Most low scores come from the same causes: thin or missing Google Business Profile data, no reviews the AIs can read, no clear service pages, and no presence on the directories and sources the AIs cite.
